The lambswool fingerless mittens are a simple but very effective design, keeping your hands warm while your fingers are free.  I also call them ‘Maker’s Mittens.

I knit the fabric on a domestic knitting machine using the highest quality lambswool yarn.  I then sew the seam leaving a space for the thumbhole which I hand crochet to create a neat and strong opening for the thumb.  This is then gently felted to produce the softest and warmest fabric which is strong and long lasting.  The process of felting also makes the finished item machine washable on a 30°C wool wash.

The colour combinations can be strong, vibrant, bright, subtle or a combination of all of these.  I love the different effect that I get from changing colour combinations.
